Rules when riding in medical cab

The cab is for medical purposes only

Client/Escort are to be transported from home to appointment and back home. 

Escort is responsible for the client at all times, If the client/escort leave the clinic/hospital they will be left behind 

 Absolutely no smoking, littering, drugs, and alcohol

Respect driver at all times

GAS Support Reimbursement

Medical confirmation slips have to be in NO LATER than 12:00pm every Thursday. Medical slips brought in AFTER Thursday will be processed the following week. Medical Cheques will be released every two weeks, FRIDAY - NON PAYDAY. 

Clients requesting transportation to more than one scheduled medical appointment in a two week period must provide a note from the attending physician/Doctor Referral. 

Gas support will only be issued when a van is NOT available. All gas support must have a "prior approval" in order to receive reimbursement. Clients must provide a medical slip from Health facility/Representative that they have attended their appointments.

When the doctor is in the community. Transportation to access service outside the community will not be provided. UNLESS it is with a specialist, ultrasound, or follow up with a family physician.
